Professional Experience
Billy Coane has been a professional studio and live musician, vocalist, composer, and educator in the Los Angeles area for over 25 years, and now living in Nashville, the Music City. He has worked for companies like the Doritos Corporation, Airwalk Shoes, Universal Studios, Sony Records, A &M Records, Rhino Records, Eonian Records, Slamstone Records, Lawless Records, Rickshaw Records, Saban Entertainment (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and the Rosey O'Donnell Show.
Studio Work and Teaching
Billy has also worked with Dick Dale and the Dell Tones, Governor Gray Davis & Danny Glover (Dr. Seuss CD), Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (Gala Fund Raiser), the Los Angeles Unified School District (Music Teacher and Mentor), Guitars in the Classroom (Guitar Teacher for teachers & administrators), Fender Play Guitar Course, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra (Teaching Artist). In addition, he has recorded vocals, guitar, and keyboards with platinum producers John Henning (REO Speedwagon, Sammy Hagar, Dan Fogelberg), Brian Levi (Dwight Yoakam, Gwen Stefani & No Doubt), and Jim Wirt (Incubus).
Composing & Songwriting
Billy has composed many songs (all styles) and much instrumental music, including the movie sound track for the full length motion picture Waycross, written and directed by Paul Laverack, as well as solo instrumental pieces, string quartets, chamber music, and symphonic compositions. He also writes electronic music and produces music in his home studio, using ProTools, Logic, and Sibelius. Billy Coane is affiliated with SESAC (Nashville) for his songwriting, and ASCAP for his classical compositions, film & TV music, and other instrumental music.
